Youth is a choreography about teamwork, it's about accomplishing your goals...
...and the way you bond with each other to accomplish it.
I think the most difficult thing about the routine is just that; all of us becoming one.
It's about showing that is not that easy, but it is important to fight for what you want.
Something that has always characterized our company is that we consider ourselves a family...
...and this routine is all about that.
It's physically demanding but it is also emotional.
As we are working as a team and the routine doesn't work if we aren't focused,
any mistake can ruin it all. In fact we have had some accidents,
so we really need each one to collaborate.
It is a difficult routine. It's very special but also very difficult on every aspect:
technically, physically and emotionally.
If we aren't on the same track, having the same meaning about it,
and giving what we got every second it might even be dangerous, because we lift Gaby a lot.
Dancing this routine again means a lot to me, because I graduated a year ago.
Returning with the company and being part of it again is something I really appreciate.
Even though we aren't dancing with them each day, coming back is like being home again.
I think that 'Youth' was the routine that took most of our time and effort,
so I think it is the most representative of the company's work during the year.
'Youth' really is the essence of what has happened during this year,
such as growing up together. And I think they were just what inspired me to create it;
watching their teamwork and inspiring each other.
I don't participate in the routine because of issues of space and number of dancers,
but each time I see them performing is something really special,
because as Sejo said, you notice this positive energy that transmits to you.
Since the first time I saw them I...
you're left speechless about what's happening in that moment.
I joined the company this semester so I feel I am the smallest one,
so everybody is taking care of me, and they help me a lot.
In our last competition they only... from all the routines that participated, that were
about 300 or 400, they only gave away 5 or 6 prizes called 'You Rocked Jump',
meaning 'you rocked the competition'. So from about those 300, we took 2 of 3 routines
that we presented. There were companies that showed 40 routines
and didn't win anything, or only one. So we won 2 prizes of the 3 routines we presented.
It has been one of the best experiences of my life.
The opportunity of working with those dance teachers that I used to watch on TV and never
thought I would meet... ...I even want to cry.
Sharing so much time together and the experience of dancing,
all of that makes you to bond with everyone. The experiences we've had, such as going to
Monterrey and winning the competition, have created really strong connections between us.
