Are you Pro-Life?
Sounds like a pretty simple question I know.
Generally this refers to the issue of abortion.
If you are pro-life then you are against abortions,
and if you are pro-choice, then you are for a woman's right to choose.
So which are you?
Now while I have my own opinions on this subject,
which will become apparent throughout this video,
my goal here is to not say I'm right and you are wrong.
The purpose of this video is to start a discussion
where we can all take a step back and analyze our opinions in a rational and logical way.
Something few of us ever do.
So, are you pro-life?
Now for those of you who answered yes, that you are pro-life,
I'm curious how you would answer to following three questions.
Question 1.
Do you support capital punishment?
Now I can see some of you getting upset,
claiming that the death penalty is for people who have committed serious crimes
such as ***, while an embryo is innocent.
So what if I told you that on average 5 people per year sitting on death row
are found to be innocent?
And 8 people that were executed in the United States in the last 30 years
later had evidence surface strongly suggesting their innocence.
All judicial systems are imperfect,
so if you are for capital punishment,
then you must accept that innocent people will die.
So then why is it okay to execute an innocent adult but not to abort an embryo?
Question 2.
Do you support war?
Now again, many of you will argue that very often wars are waged against people
that would either enslave us, or kill us.
Therefore war should be self defense. Again, I agree with you.
But no war can be waged with a guarantee not to kill innocent civilians.
So to be for war, even when it is self defense, is to accept the killing of innocent bystanders.
So why is it okay to kill women and children who get caught in the crossfire
but not okay to abort an embryo?
Now many of you will argue that capital punishment and war serve a greater good,
therefore the death of innocent individuals, while regrettable,
is not enough to make such activities unjustified.
And this was most likely the rational of Scott Roeder
who recently murdered Doctor George Tiller.
Now while those of us with rational minds can see the blatant hypocrisy
when a supposedly pro-life individual murders another, clearly some people cannot.
They will argue that by taking one life
they spare the lives of all the embryos he would have aborted.
But the simple act of taking a life proves that you are not pro-life.
It's just that simple.
Question 3.
Do you oppose abortion under all circumstances,
even when the life of the mother is at risk?
If you have rationalized that it is okay to take some life to save others,
then why not take the embryo's life to save the mother's?
If you answered YES to any of the above questions
then you have decided,
you have made a choice,
under what circumstances it is okay to take the lives of innocent individuals.
And if you claim to be pro-life you have to realize
how profoundly hypocritical such a position is.
Are you really pro-life,
or are you simply anti-choice?
Think about it.
