Nice to meet you, my name is Nick Mckay. This is a Japanese speech performance video.
I'll give my speech now.
When my twin brother and I were born, we weighed merely 1 Kg (2 lbs).
Our father could hold us in either hand, we were that small. According to the doctors, we would be deaf and blind, and also suffer from various
diseases. However, nowadays I rarely get sick, and I'm in great health. With that being said,
I'd like to talk about "how to live a healthy life". I will give three points: sleep, exercise,
and daily diet.
Among these three points the most fundamental is sleep. There are many benefits to getting
plenty of sleep. Your mood becomes better, you can maintain a healthy weight, your ability
to concentrate and memory both improve. In order to establish a sleep rhythm, you
should wake up and go to bed at the same time ever day. In addition, one
hour before bed you should refrain from using your computer or cell phone, and dim the lighting.
Also regular exercise will help you sleep well.
With that I'll move to the next point. Regular exercise is not just about losing weight-
it can boost your energy, increase brainpower, and reduce risk of chronic diseases. You should
make time for exercise. In my case, on weekdays in spite of my 3 hour round trip commute and
working hours, I make time to exercise in the morning
before work. When you don't have time, there are some exercise tricks. For example, taking
the stairs instead of the elevator, parking your car further away,
ect.
If you've followed my advice thus far, you'll be sleeping well and exercising regularly,
but the last point is essential. That is your daily diet. I'm sure you know what is good
for you and what is bad, so I'll give some simple
advice. Decrease your sugar. Increase your water. Reduce portion size and eat smaller
sizes more frequently. If you want to improve your diet, I think it's
best to keep a food log for what you ate that day.
I spoke about three points concerning how to live a healthy life. Sleep, exercise, and
daily diet. If you follow this advice, you can be as buff as me :)
