Now, I'm going to show you how to set the date and time on your XH A1. What we'll do
is just go into the menu, of course, by pressing the menu button. Where you want to go is 'system
setup' here, kind of close to the end. I'll push in the button here and I want to go down
three to 'D/Time Set'. When I go in there this is where we can set out time zone and
the date and time. Time zone goes by just cities in the time zone. So find what correlates
to you. I'm in central time so I'm going to Chicago and then you want to go down to the
'date and time' and you just push that and there you go. It's pretty simple, you just
use the little scroll wheel to move along and then you hit the button and you'll go
into the next option here, 'date' or whatever, and then finally, on to 'time'. Then you also
have the option to set the 'date format', just like that. Pretty much, once you hit
menu, that's when you start the clock and you've set your date and time. If you want
to display the date and time when you are recording, what you do would be to go back
into the menu. We're going to go to 'Display Setup', and then we're going to go to, keep
going down, going down, going down, going down, 'Guide Info' and we'll turn 'D/T Display'
on. Now the date and time will be displayed when you're recording. Although I really dislike
that, so I always leave that off. I really don't see a reason to do that. I find it really
distracting to see that on my video. That's how you set the date and time and, if you
want it on your video, how to turn it on.
