[Kirsty] This video is going to show you about my life as the Stockport Local Involvement
Network (LINk) Development Officer and the kind of thing I get up to while I’m at work.
Age Concern’s Winter Warmth Event, with our stall. This is our volunteer, David.
[David] Hello, and how are you everybody.” This is our stall.
[Kirsty Voiceover] So as you can see I go to lots of events, here I am at the Welcome
Cafe. I also spend a lot of time in the office creating materials such as the Newsletter
and invitations, answering phones, making sure people know where they are supposed to
be, organising meetings and also, say, creating badges! Just helping co-ordinate the LINk
members.
[Kirsty] We’re at a conference in Liverpool today on Personalisation. Hi Michelle!
[Michelle] Hello!
[Kirsty] (laughs) Let’s have a look around the stalls.
[Kirsty Voiceover] So as I just said then, this is us at the Personalisation conference
in Liverpool. During this day we attended workshops and seminars on several different
things, especially on personalised budgets and basically learning about the new developments
within social care and health care.
And of course, one of the many things that we do are attend meetings. These are a few
members of our Publicity & Promotion group discussing the LINk and its promotions.
[Kirsty] So there we go just a few ‘snapshots’ of different things that happen during my
week as a Development Officer.
