Saturday marked the end of a summer program aimed at building future business
leaders and entrepreneurs. 40 minority junior in high school students graduated
from the future business leaders and entrepreneurs
summer program. It was held at the Rochester Institute of Technology
for 10 weeks the students were from the Rochester City School District and they
had to come up with practical and cost-effective solutions to business challenges.
Director>> These students see what they're doing in school as
academic. An academic exercise... so what we're trying to show them is that
we can actually integrate real-world problems into
their normal everyday academic life. The program started in 2009 to help local
youth develop their leadership skills.
