Along the top of the screen is the Menu Bar.
This is where we have additional options
beyond what may be visible within an application. The left side of the Menu
Bar
is dynamic. Meaning, it changes depending on the application
which is active. By clicking iTunes,
the Menu Bar changes to reflect
options available just for iTunes. Clicking in Safari
does the same. Along the right side of the Menu Bar,
we have different icons which controls different elements
system-wide throughout your computer. For example,
the Battery menu gives information about how much time is remaining
if you're using a laptop, or
the Volume menu is a quick way to be able to adjust
system volume along with the Date & Time menu.
By selecting it, we have additional preferences
and options for how we wish to view the time. Continuing to the right,
we have Spotlight, which is a system-wide search. By typing in
a word, the computer finds that item
anywhere exists within your computer, then categorizes it by file type.
The rightmost item is Notification Center.
This allows us to see a concise list
all of the recent alerts and notifications our computer has provided.
