I may have made a mistake. It happens to the best of us, right?
If only I hadn't made this mistake for the past 12 years.
Okay, let's go look.
They call it Minute Rice, then say it's ready in 5 minutes. It's a lie.
Following directions is kind of important.
Step one - bring water, butter and salt to a boil
Step two - stir in the rice. Cover. Turn off heat
Step three - let stand 5 minutes or until water is fully absorbed
Fluff with fork
I waited 5 minutes! You know what happened? That. That happened.
Sloppy, watery, I can't fluff that rice! It's supposed to look better.
Okay but nowhere on the box does it say keep it on the heat.
Apparently you're supposed to leave the pot on the element.
I didn't know! Oops.
Reading the instructions. It's important. Otherwise you end up with sloppy rice.
I will be back on Thursday with a little less incompetence.
Yeah, that's not good.
