Time travel used to be thought of as science fiction,
but it‘s actually a very real concept.
Scientists today have indeed figured out a way to time travel into the future.
All we have to do is go really fast.
Because according to Einstein’s theory of relativity,
as we go faster, time around us will slow down to prevent us from
achieving the cosmic speed limit, which is 3.0 x 10^8 m/s.
It’s really that simple.
Now to achieve such a high speed on Earth, some people
suggested building a train track around the Earth using electromagnets
to propel the train so that it would go so fast
that it would circle the Earth 10 times/s.
For the passengers on board,
one week would be equivalent to one hundred years for the people on Earth,
which means that after staying on the train for one week,
passengers would have traveled
one hundred years into the future when they got off.
We could also try building a huge *** spaceship,
using perhaps dark matter as fuel, and let it blast off into deep space.
When the spaceship achieves 99.99% the speed of light,
for the astronauts on board,
one day would be equivalent to one whole Earth year.
This concept also illustrates how it would be possible
for humans to achieve interstellar space travel and visit nearby galaxies.
Unfortunately, scientists have theorized that
we cannot time travel into the past,
since there would be the existence of paradoxes.
But still, knowing that we can time travel into the future,
we really do have an exciting future waiting for us.
