It was in school that I learned about traditional Malaysian art.
However, I never really got the chance to experience it myself.
The visit to the craft center gave me the opportunity.
There are many little stalls to allow hands-on experiences.
Just like this stall that displays clay arts,
you can also give a try on a self-made art piece,
or just buy one to take home.
Another well-known Malaysian art is "Batik".
Wax is used to draw the outline of the pattern before coloring.
The wax will stop the color from spreading
and the final piece is usually made into beautiful clothes.
I'm now on an attempt to color my own Batik.
So I have chosen Hibiscus, and
I'm going to start coloring right now.
So let's start with red. Drip it on here.
And if I want it to be lighter, just pick more water.
I'm finally done with my Batik. This is nicely colored!
If you have some time to spare in Kuala Lumpur,
have a creative moment here.
I bet you will have a fun learning experience!
