Have you ever wondered after catching that perfect salmon,
how a fire roasted fillet of succulent salmon drizzled with chocolate
and perfectly melted marshmallow would taste between two mouthwatering graham crackers? Who hasn't?
To get started, you will need a fire.
Finding the perfect location is essential.
The best spot is always in an established area with a campfire site with a metal fire ring or grill like this one.
If this is not present then choose a level area with no overhanging branches,
remove any close vegetation,
make a fire ring with rocks
keep your fire small,
always have a shovel and a bucket of water nearby
and never, never leave your fire unattended.
While your salmon is cooking, it's time to roast your marshmallows.
Do you like yours rare,
toasted,
or blackened?
I like my Alaskan s'mores flambéed.
And now it's time to make our Alaskan s'more.
First, you take your graham cracker, break it in half.
Then you will take your piece of salmon that you cooked,
I cooked my in tinfoil, and as you can see I have already melted my chocolate on top.
So, I'll take my salmon and place it on the graham cracker.
Oooh, this looks delicious.
Next, I'll put my marshmallow on top,
Just how I like it.
I like to top mine with whipped cream.
But wait. . .
Before I enjoy your Alaskan delicacy,
you need to know that almost 70% of wildfires are human caused
and could have been prevented,
so please take a few seconds to watch how to properly put out your campfire.
First apply water to the flames until they are completely out.
Next and scrape the fire pit with a shovel or stick.
You can also add sand or dirt at this point.
After stirring add more water.
Then feel for heat with the back of your hand.
And if it still feels warm,
You will need to pour more water.
and wait for it to be cooled off completely.
