There are many animals to see at the Austin Nature and Science Center in Austin, Texas.
This is the mammal exhibit. The center takes on animals considered unable to survive in
the wild. Some were raised by humans. And some were injured in their native habitat.
One of the larger areas features several birds of prey. This bird is a barn owl. And is slightly
unusual when it comes to owls. That white heart shaped face is amazing. If you've done
any driving out in Texas, you'll probably have seen a few of these. This is a black
vulture. And his favorite meal is roadkill. You won't want to miss the raptors. These
birds are relatives of the vicious dinosaurs of the same name. In this area you'll see
several of the smaller creatures of Texas. The wide variety of animals here makes the
Austin Nature and Science Center a fun experience for people of all ages.
