Hey everyone and thanks for watching 3dmotive.com.
This is Justin and welcome back to volume 5
of the Maya beginners course. In volumes 1 through 4
of this series we received an introduction to Maya's interface
and customization, covered most of the polygon
modeling tools that we'll encounter when creating 3D assets,
walked through the modeling of our first simple prop while using some of
the tools we learned. And in the most recent volume
started modeling a slightly more complex prop while continuing
to utilize four of the tools we learned in the first few volumes.
In this volume we're gonna wrap things up by covering some of the
uv unwrapping tools here in Maya and go over
the baking of an ao or ambient occlusion map and take
a quick first pass at creating our diffuse texture
while using some of the preexisting reference images.
