To tell you the truth I actually did not want to be involved in this experiece
because I just assumed that it would be more work.
The first day I realized that I was in the right place.
Actually, the whole group, we had five people that came from our company.
And we
all said the same thing when we left the first day: "That
we didn't realize the impact the first few hours
would have on each of us."
We realize that people who report to us resist
some of the ideas that we come up with as leaders and managers.
And, why they need to have an open mind as we do. It's basically a reality check -
you want to be a good leader and a you want people to be open to your ideas.
And, as a leader I wasn't so open to our leader's ideas
until I got here.
I think the moment when I realized I could have used this
information
several years ago was when we
took a look at ourselves
and what type of people we were.
It's amazing that I haven't even touched on any of the tools that I have learned
in the last couple of days, ever, as a leader. I have done well
but, I could offer so much more by taking some of these things to practice.
