Hello there and welcome to the second video of my BuzzBundle video tutorial series.
In video one we learnt how to install BuzzBundle on the windows pc and i also briefly outlined
how to install the software on both mac and linux system.
However, the best way to learn any new tool, really, is to identify all the basic functions
and what each of these functions do first.
So with that thought in mind and practicing what i preach, this is exactly what we're
going to be doing in this video.
That is, we're going to be taking a look at the common BuzzBundle functions and how to
setup the software so that we're good to go with our future BuzzBundle campaigns.
However, a short note before we proceed ...
For this video and the future videos in this tutorial series i will be covering the use
of BuzzBundle Pro which is what i use and HIGHLY recommend.
Loading and saving projects amongst other features is something i really want to show
you how to do effectively but unfortunately these features are not available in the free
version of BuzzBundle.
Here's what i mean
We click on file.
We click on open existing project.
And we're told to please upgrade our license.
So, we will be doing that via the help tab which i will be showing you how to do.
Err. but we click on ok and this opens up our firefox browser which goes to the BuzzBundle
homepage.
We close that.
So we're back in the help tab. There we go.
So With the help tab we have access to several functions and these include:
The Online Help.
This is a collection of helpful articles provided for BuzzBundle customers and it outlines the
more intricate concepts of what BuzzBundle is all about.
Then we have the SEO Guide.
It's a complementary Bonus, once again for BuzzBundle customers which is an outline Do
It Yourself (DIY) Book for Internet Entrepreneurs.
Then we have the BuzzBundle Homepage.
This takes you to the official BuzzBundle Homepage from within the software itself.
We previously saw this in action.
Then we have the Error Logging.
This is a way for the the tool to log errors.
It's actually an advanced "nice to have" feature not covered in this tutorial.
I normally leave this at its default state.
We then have the function, Send Project To Support.
This is a really useful function to help you send reports to BuzzBundle support if you
ever experience any problems with the software itself.
This option only actually becomes active once a project is open which is why it's greyed
out now.
We then come to Translate (localize).
This is a feature to add language localizations. Another advanced "nice to have" feature not
really needed to run BuzzBundle.
Then we come to the Registration (info).
This is where we'll need to come to enter our license details to activate the pro version
of the software.
And this is what i'll be doing now.
So we click on registration info.
We're then told that our license type is the free license that is registered to either
your name or your company name and the registration key is the key you get in the email when you
purchase BuzzBundle pro.
So what i'll be doing right now is i'll be entering my private details and i'll unfortunately
have to pause the video whilst i do that.
Ok so i've added my license details for BuzzBundle Pro and this is what you'll see once the software
has been properly registered.
You'll see a thanks with a thank you message for registering BuzzBundle.
So we now have the BuzzBundle pro version.
So we click on ok.
And just to verify that we go to help and registration info.
And as you can see, we're now the proud owners of a professional license of BuzzBundle.
Should you ever need to downgrade, that's basically going back to the free version of
BuzzBundle, all you have to do is remove your name and registration key, click on ok and
the professional license will downgrade back to the free license.
But we don't want to do that right now, so we cancel that via the cancel button.
We then go to the file tab.
With the file tab you have the option to create a new project, where you'll be able to create
new BuzzBundle projects with streams, keyword groups, personas and profiles.
We'll be covering the setup of campaigns with keyword groups and personas and profiles in
the next tutorial.
However i will be covering the concept of streams briefly in the next couple of minutes,
so don't worry if that term doesn't make sense right now because it will.
We can then open existing projects which was previously unavailable to us.
Buzzbundle saves projects with the extension bzz.
So, let's cancel that.
Go back to the the file tab
We can save our projects via save projects or the short key control s.
We can save projects as, give it a project name.
We can also save all open projects where BuzzBundle has the option of opening several projects
and traversing through those projects simultaneously.
And i'll be showing you how to do that in the next couple of minutes.
We can also close the current project via the control w key and BuzzBundle always warns
you of unsaved projects whenever you do that.
And the same applies for the quit program.
The open recent project keeps memory of all the projects you have opened in case you ever
need to access that.
So what we will be doing right now before we move on to the Window tab is create 3 example
projects for a fictional company which we will be using for the next video tutorial
called flower journey LLC.
For now ignore the complicated looking screens that appear. They will make sense in the next
video tutorial.
So let's create our first project and save it.
What i like to do is be consistent with the project names i use and i always include something
that will:
a) Help me identify what the project is e.g. a company abbreviation, niche name etc and
b) Help me know what the project was and when the project was 1st created via a month, date
and year.
So let us create our 1st BuzzBundle project!
We go to new project.
We go back and save project as.
And what i normally like to do is save my projects to a pen drive.
I have my E drive there and i will save this one as flower journey llc, hypen, uae (united
arab emirates), 2008 (which is when i'm recording this video) with an abbreviation of the year
13 for 2013.
So we click on save and that's saved.
And then we can click once again on file, new project.
And we save this project as flower journey llc, hyphen, australia, 2008, 2013 (we abbreviate
with 13).
We save that.
And then we conclude with our last project. Save project as.
And we will call this one.
Flower journey llc and let's call this one, let's see Canada, that sounds good. 2008,
13.
So as you can see now, we have 3 different projects saved.
So now i will be showing you how we can traverse through these projects.
We come here to Window and as we see we can click on either the Australian project which
we can see here.
We have saved it as E:\flowerjourneyllc-australia.
We then go to flowerjourney canada and we can also go to flowerjourney uae.
There's also the option of clicking the next project and we can use this to cycle between
projects and this is what i normally do.
Instead of clicking on next project i use the keys alt and right as you can see when
i click on the right keys and left here they also show up at the top.
So i can cycle through the projects accordingly.
That covers the window tab and now we will move on to the preferences tab.
Ok, so let's move on to the preferences tab.
With the preferences tab, you can set up the way BuzzBundle campaigns will be displayed.
Clicking on miscellaneous global settings actually gives you access to all these other
settings over here.
So i'm going to do that right now and briefly explain what each does.
So let's click on that. This opens up as i said the miscellaneous global setting and
the 1st setting we'll cover is the preferred social media.
With the Preferred Social Media you can choose which social media sites you want BuzzBundle
to monitor.
We untick all the social profiles except for the social networks.
The reason i actually do this is because version 2.3 of BuzzBundle does not have the ability
to sort the order of these social networks yet.
Doing it like this will automatically add the fastest appearing streams i.e. the social
networks across ALL our projects.
These are the streams we want to follow and this will become much more clearer in the
next video when we add more social media to our projects.
We untick blogs, we untick forums, untick q&a sites and untick video sharing sites.
That looks good.
Let's move over to streams.
The streams section in BuzzBundle is based on tabs, where each tab holds 2-4 streams
of different kinds of social media discussions.
This concept is a bit tough to grasp at first but this is how i remember it.
Think of tabs as "office drawers" in an office building.
The streams are "utensils" which you keep in the drawer e.g. pens, papers, paper clips
etc which help you complete assigned projects, in our case our BuzzBundle Projects.
Hope that makes sense.
Personas & Profiles.
With the personas and Profiles, these can be added and edited here and this will be
covered again in more detail in the next video when we start setting up our first BuzzBundle
campaign.
However for now and better understanding think of a persona as the person/client/company
you are representing online.
Each persona will need to have a social profile right?
e.g. one for Google+, one for Twitter, one for Linkedin etc so that they can reply to
conversations which appear on the respective streams accordingly.
Let's move over to keyword groups.
BuzzBundle monitors phrases which appear online and these are called keywords.
They can be anything from simple words like "florists" to multiple words like "florists
in the UAE" and are added in groups called keyword groups.
This is an advanced setting to change what appears in the Keyword groups.
Leave it at default.
Human Emulation
Another advanced featured where BuzzBundle can emulate human behavior when getting data
from the web e.g. by visiting the search engine's homepage first before searching.
I normally leave it at the default level.
With none of these ticked.
Moving on to user agents.
This gives us the ability to set BuzzBundle to peform searches using various browsers
which are called agents.
So with this option the search engines will assume that queries are coming from different
people.
I normally also leave this at its default setting which is "use random user agents".
Proxy Rotation.
With proxy rotation BuzzBundle switches between different proxies when running its checks.
This gives search engines the impression as if queries are being manually made by different
people rather than with automated software that performs way more queries than a person
could per minute.
I highly recommend using this function.
Do NOT use public proxies which are spammed and unreliable.
Depending on how often you use BuzzBundle i'd go with a minimum of 10 private semi dedicated
proxies from my #1 choice of proxy providers who are super friendly and reliable providing
me with fresh proxies every month.
I'll include a link below this video.
If you're in Europe order the european proxies.
Order the american proxies if you're in or near the united states.
So i'll just briefly show you how i import my proxies.
Here i have my proxy list. I copy that with control c.
I then come to my "Enable proxy rotation". I click on import.
And actually i already imported the proxies previously. Let me just delete that.
And i paste them back in and i click on next.
And over here we have a check of all the proxies, checking their status. And there we have proxies
from France, from Italy and from France and Italy again.
Since we're in Europe i purchase the european proxies. And that's basically it.
We click on finish and we're done. We have a whole set of proxies ready to go.
Let's move on.
Captcha Settings
Search engines and other 3rd party services used for data search tend to show CAPTCHAs
from time to time.
These are those squiggly alphabets and numbers which you need to type in correctly to proceed.
This is to prevent automated queries from overloading their servers.
What i recommend here is to tick the setting that says "Show Captcha if queries are blocked".
I've never had to use the anti captcha key so far. Probably because i use proxies. Private
proxies. That's ok.
So let's move on to the scheduler.
With the scheduler BuzzBundle can be setup to run certain tasks regularly on a specified
date.
Tasks can be easily added, edited and removed. This is an advanced feature you may want to
have a look at once you have BuzzBundle running on your computer.
Language Settings.
This provides you with the ability to switch languages even after the installation has
been done between English, Spanish, French, Polish and Portuguese.
My recommendation here is to ONLY switch languages IF you know the language you're switching
to since this would change the complete language of the software!
Color Schemes.
This gives you the ability to switch color schemes.
You can switch between grey and blue (which is the default setting), grey, sand, blue
and orange and contrast gray.
This is an advanced feature and really just a nice to have feature.
And with our last setting Miscellaneous global settings, we have the option to select the
number of simultaneous tasks which we can set from 5 to above.
We can set the captcha skipping delay and autorecovery interval and the request timeout.
I normally just leave this at the default setting and i'm good to go!
So that's it. We have now setup the software.
We finalise all the settings with "Ok" and we're done.
So to summarise, this is what we've learnt in this video.
a) We've learnt about the help tab (the one over here).
This is one of the most important places to come to and the two functions which you'll
be needing to use the most are the "Send Project to Support" and the "Registration Info for
BuzzBundle Pro users".
b) We learnt how to create, save , close and open our very 1st BuzzBundle Projects with
the File tab over here.
c) We also learnt about the Window tab over here and how to cycle between projects.
So now that we have mastered the setup of BuzzBundle and know where and what the key
basic functions are, we are now ready to setup our first campaigns which we will be doing
with ease!
This will be covered in the next Tutorial, Tutorial #3
Take care!
