Hi, this is Jon and in this clip we will be caulking our joints. For this step I'm going
to be using a window, door and siding type sealant. Now these come in tubes that fit
into caulking guns, which allow you to apply it to your surface. If you cut the tip at
a about a forty-five degree angle, it makes it a lot easier when you are installing the
product. Now on our door, what we want to seal, is all areas where the door, our new
door, meets the wall. So we are going to go all the way around our entire door and this
is going to help form a tight seal so that no air or moisture gets in. Now this particular
product does have a dark color to it but it is paintable and since our door frame and
the wall are going to be the same color, that's not going to matter. Once you get a good bead
on there, you are going to take your finger and smooth it out. And you are just going
to continue that procedure all around your door.
