Hi. Welcome to Expert Village. I'm Gretchen Soares and today we're going to be discussing
how to shop for children's clothing. In this clip we're going to go ahead and add some
tops to the bottom pieces that we've already picked. So we want to grab our bottoms so
we know what we have and look at tops in this range. Now, we're looking for a little boy
who is about one year old. So I really like the snap bottom shirts for the age range.
It keeps the shirts tucked in well. The red's going to look cute. It will look really cute
with those overalls. Or even this pair of overalls. That's a good choice. Here's a standard
blue, again another good choice, blends well. So here's a couple of short sleeve, every
day onesie t-shirt type shirts that would be great choices. So now we want to add a
couple of long sleeve shirts. I like a turtle neck. They're really good to layer under short
sleeve shirts if you needed added warmth, or they're great by themselves and keep them
toasty warm. That's a nice choice. Now we've got a good variety of color in there but it's
pretty much in the same family. So it should all blend really well. And we're going to
go ahead and pick some shirts to go with these cute little girl stuff that we've picked out
already. Okay and we now want to pick some girls shirts out to go with our clothes that
we picked for the girls. So we have six bottoms. We'll probably want to pick out six to eight
shirts. So we want to look for things that are going to blend and go well. Right now
I'm looking for a good variety of short sleeve versus long sleeve and right now I'm just
looking for some lightweight t-shirts to go under stuff. I like to layer the kids. We're
going to look at some sweaters a little bit later. So and mainly right now, I look first
for color to see if I can get it all to going in the same family. That way when I reach
in a drawer, I can be assured pretty much that I'm going to have something that blends
in the same color family, top and bottom.
