So, this nail we're going to do today is a gel nail,
we're going to be using the new Naio Nails Metallic range.
We've already built a base up with the acrylic
I've done a sculptured stiletto tip - so we're ready for the gel design to go straight on top.
So we've got a lovely range of metallic colours to play with
and you're just going to pick up a little bit of each colour, place it on the nail and swirl up with it.
Sit in right next to the last one
and make sure that those colours go right down that side.
just filling that pattern in now, if you get any gel on the skin just clean it off.
then I'm going to finish this pattern off with a little bit of the mirrored glitter,
I'm picking that up with my clear gel.
That nail is now ready to go into the lamp for three minutes.
So, this nail is now ready for a full gel capping, so we're going to use our clear gel.
So, thin layer of the whole entire nail,
and then a build layer,
starting at the back and running all the way down the nail.
Let that build layer settle in,
check your side angle to see whether your stress point has got enough on it,
place it on and bring it down.
Again, let that layer settle,
tip of your brush if you need to move it,
just going to bring that a little bit further back,
and that can go back into the lamp for a full three minutes.
So we need to take that sticky layer off this nail now.
so you're going to use your gel residue wipe-off.
Now remember - wipe forward, turn the wipe over, wipe again so that you don't get any of that sticky residue on the client's skin.
so this nail is ready for filing.
It is a gel design on top so you don't need to be as harsh with your file.
Plus because it is self-levelling, you shouldn't have too much filing to do.
Remove your dust,
and then you can apply your gel top-coat.
And that nail can go back into the lamp for two minutes.
So - to finish this nail off,
just a little bit of cuticle oil and massage it in.
And that's the Metallic gel design done.
