THE END OF AN ERA. WE'RE JUST
HOURS AWAY FROM THE STAGE
CENTER' BEGINNING TO BE TORN
DOWN. THANKS FOR STAYING UP
WITH US
TONIGHT. I'M JESSICA
SCHAMBACH. THE END OF THE
CENTER.. MEANS SOME
NEW ADDITIONS TO THE DOWNTOWN
SCENE.
K-O-C-O'S BREE STEFFEN IS THERE
TONIGHT.
Tonight we're saying our final
goodbye to a
piece of Oklahoma City's past.
The Stage
Center is set to be torn down
tomorrow.
The art center was built back in
1970 -
and will be replaced by a high
rise with
more than 20 stories - the new
home of
OG&E. Here today, gone tomorrow
- the demolition marks one of
many steps to transform the
city.
65 -12:48:59 It's something
we'll have
to get used to, things do
disappear, things
go, new things come. And even at
my age I
don't mind change. The new
towers will also include
restaurants, shops, and
apartments. The
good news is the city says the
construction shouldn't affect
your ability to get around.

City, Bree Steffen, KOCO 5 News.
