This is a 60-second Army Now from Soldiers Radio and Television.
I'm Sergeant Ashleigh Torres.
Welcome home to the 18th Engineer Brigade.
Sergeant Monique Sapp has more.
Banners, cameras, and balloons filled the Patrick Henry Village Pavilion
as families waited anxiously for their loved ones to arrive
from a 15-month deployment from Mosul, Iraq.
The 18th Engineer Brigade played an intricate role
in helping the citizens of Mosul rebuild their community.
Colonel Matthew Russell, the brigade commander,
wanted the soldiers to thank their families for their support.
Soldiers, I want to remind you one thing.
You're looking at your families; be proud of them
because they have sacrificed so much and done so many things for us.
And families we are.
Gentlemen, ladies, a round of applause for our families, please.
The 18th Engineer Brigade was the last brigade to serve a 15-month deployment in Iraq.
That's a 60-second Army Now. [clock ticking] [♪bass guitar playing♪]
