Welcome to the project AT HOME.
My name is Rui Telmo Romão and this project comes into reality
in a limited edition of a photobook. In this short video
I will let you know about the project idea and concept,
how you can help it come into reality and what you may get in return.
At home is a series of photographies exploring places where I feel at home.
I choose to photograph this places because I have a strong emotional connection with them.
They make me feel well, safe, comfortable, protected.
The framing is done in the direction to the house where I was born and raised.
This orientation is found with the support of maps, GPS and compass.
This process creates a dialog in between the images.
This art project comes into reality in a limited edition of a photobook
that was selected to the shortlist of Fotolibro Iberoamericano 2012.
100 copies will be printed, all signed and numbered by the author.
The book has the collaboration of the design collective Vivóeusébio.
And it contains 1 geographical-conceptual map, a prolog by the writer Wolf Schmid
in english and portuguese and 20 images. This images are detachable so
they can be used in other ways according to the owners wish.
You can help by sharing this project through out the social networks and your friends.
Anyone can also support this publishing with a donation.
No matter how much you give, the value of your donation will always offer
you access to an active participation on this project.
Your name will always be printed in the book credits. You can get a book copy
