I've done some math surrounding the crafting update,
and I was curious just how many items you needed to get a hat.
First things first, you need three level 1 metals to get a level 2 metal,
and three level 2 metals to get a level 3 metal.
And the level 3 metals are the only things that can make hats.
Now that we got that out of the way, lets do some math.
Lets say for instance that you are specific. You want a Medic hat.
First off you need 4 Medic weapons to make a Class Token.
You can use this Token in combination with the four Level 3 metals to create your hat.
So that's 4 items so far.
Next, to get four of the level 3 metals,
you need twelve level 2 metals, or 36 level 1 metals.
There are 3 items for every metal, so if we do some multiplication,
we find out that the grand total of items that you'll need to make a class-specific hat, is 112.
That's right, you need to go through a total of 112 items to get a class-specific hat.
Now, let's say that you aren't picky, and play all the classes equally.
You can take whatever hat you get, just as long as it's a hat.
So, that leaves us with these requirements.
Three level 3 metals.
Now that may not sound like alot, but you need nine level 2 metals,
or twenty-seven level 1 metals.
There's no class token required here, seeing as you'll get a random class.
That brings us up to 81 items.
There's a pretty big difference between 112 items and 81 items,
but if you wanna be very specific, then you're gonna have to go for the long and hard route.
But in the end, you will get your hat,
and you will be happy because you worked for it.
Thanks for watching.
