Hi, guys. Today we're going to do an unboxing of the Logitech G500s Laser Gaming Mouse.
I bought this October last year
I saw its reviews on the internet and it looks ok. That's why I chose this mouse.
As premium grade mouse - it has a beautiful packaging.
It also has a magnet in here.
We can see the features in this side of the box
its resolution is 200dpi to 8200dpi, image processing is 12mp/s, maximum acceleration is 30G, and it's
maximum speed is up to 165in/s. More pictures of the mouse itself at the back, and in this
side - the list of contents of the package: mouse, adjustable weight cartridge, and tuning
weights and case, and user documentation. The requirements in order to use this mouse
is Windows 8, 7, or Vista, USB port - obviously - this is a USB mouse, and you'll be needing
an internet in order to download the Logitech Gaming Software - for Logitech peripherals
- like this. It also comes with a one year warranty. When you open the box - you'll be
seeing the mouse. Advance surface materials. Feel the difference a durable hydrophobic
palm surface, dry grip side panels ,and fingerprint-resistant button coatings. Science Wins! It's also good
when your hands sweat during use - the prints in the mouse will not fade easily. When this
is still new - there's a seal in here - you'll be cutting it. You'll just pull this. For
me - Razer's packaging for its products is still the best. So when you'll do an unboxing
- it's just easy. But with the Logitech G500s - I had a bit of difficulty. There's a latch
in here. It's a bit messy when you open the packaging. This is where the documentations
and quick guide, the weight cartridge, and the mouse itself. I love the ay they packaged
the cord - it's wrapped around. It's not jumbled-up - like this. The mouse - it's a little bit
complicated to remove it from the package. So here are its contents. Let's start with
the easiest - the quick guide. It doesn't come with a CD Driver. You'll be needing to
go to Logitech's website to download the Logitech Gaming Software. Quick set-up guide. Mouse.
You'll be plugging the USB into the USB port, and download the Logitech Gaming Software.
This is the weights. The tin case for the weights. It's maximum - is when you fill it
all. This is 1.7g and this is 4.5g. You can see the weight cartridge in here. You'll just
press this and it will eject the cartridge. You can now place the weights in the cartridge.
Just be careful when placing them. The rubber that secures the weights is a bit weak. So
when you inserted it in a wrong position - you may damaged those rubbers. Be careful. I placed
all the 4.5g weights, because I like the mouse to be heavy. Let's pop it back in. That's
it. Now I'll show you the basic functions of the Logitech G500s. This is it's hyperscroll
button. When it's in ratchet mode - you'll notice that it has a loud sound while scrolling,
and when in hyperscroll mode - they also call it free-wheeling. This is where you can place
your on-the-fly shift button or something like a sniper button. For example in FPS games.
Here is the on-the-fly DPI step switch. When you pres these - you'll notice that the LEDs
in here changes. This is the LED indicator for for your step switch. This is a quick
demo of the Logitech Gaming Software which you can download from the Logitech website.
When you have already installed it - it's hiding in your tray when running in the background.
When you plug-in your mouse - when it's detected - the Logitech Gaming Software will start
automatically. Click this. You can configure the keys. You can also switch from on-board
memory of the mouse or from the profiles saved in your computer. You can also assign stuff
in here. It can also detect games and automatically set profiles for it. You can customize the
DPI stepping up to 5 DPI switches. Here's the configuration for the report rate and
other functions. So that's all.I hope this video helped you. Thank you for watching.
