Hi I’m Joanne Giovanni
And I work here at the Wildwood bookstore
and I’m here with the winners of our Textbook buyback.
We offer this every semester
where the students sell their books back to us
and they’re entered into a drawing for fantastic prizes
and this year Gabe here is going to explain
a little bit about our buyback
and then we’ll introduce our winners.
For book buyback, before hand we put our prices
on the web so it’s convenient the students
to access the price information
so they know what to expect back from each semester,
and what’s really cool is
that we offer up to 50% back
of the new price of the book value
so even if you purchase a used book
you’re going to get 50% of the
Excellent. So I’d like to introduce the winners.
Your name is…
Shawna
And Shawna is our big prize winner.
Shawna won an iPad. Yeah Shawna.
And this is…
Dalton
And Dalton won a mini iPad.
And your name is...
Mike
Mike. And Mike won an iPod Nano.
And we want to say congratulations to them
and would you like to say something about how excited you are to win?
I didn’t believe it.
I thought there was a catch to it.
When Mrs. Giovanni called me I was like
oh I did something wrong. I owe them money.
I’m not getting something out of it.
I ended up winning the iPod nano.
I’m going to put music on it and use it, work out, whatever.
I never really had an iPod before, so…
I thought it was too good to be true.
I didn’t even know that I was entered to win and
I just thought it was too good to be true.
Most schools that I know of, that I’ve been to don’t offer rewards
for returning books and they don’t give you near as much money back either,
so it’s definitely worth it to do it here.
You definitely get more money back here
than selling it anywhere else.
