Hi, Janet Beckers here with your Wonderful Web TV episode of the week and video number
8 in our series on "Why won't my product sell?" so before we go slashing the price and thinking
'cause it's too expensive so make it a bargain, come inside and have a look at what another
reason might be.
Great to see you here. Really common question I get a lot and specially it's on our discussions
in our Inner Circle Q&A calls is "Why isn't my product selling?"
So many different reasons, I've covered a lot over the last few weeks. Now here is one
that is really, really common: How clear are you on who your product helps and is that
really, really clear when people come to your sales page?
Like, do people get to your sales page and go "she's talking to me, I'm home baby, this
is kind of freaky. She's definitely talking to me because she's explaining the problems
I've got and being very, very specific."
There can be a tendency to say "I can help lots and lots of people." I get this a lot,
an example will be "I help women who want to make a change in their lives." That's too
general, it's not going to work. So if you just have a sales page like that, people are
going to go "could be for me."
But if you're a lot more specific about "I can be helping you if you fit this sales letter
is for." It might be professional women who are wanting to change from being a corporate
to starting your own business.
Sure you might be able to help other people as well but can you make your sales page talk
specifically to that person? You can have a couple of sales pages for the same product.
You might have another one that might be exactly the same product but you can have another
sales page that might talk to somebody else.
We use the same example before, a woman who wants to make changes in her life and you're
having to work through that transition, you might be going "I need somebody that's just
recently divorced or separated." And you're finding yourself again and really who you
are after having been through a traumatic relationship near the end.
So you can see how a lot of things you can be doing to help people might have similar
steps but you can how it's very, very targeted. You might find that your business is really
only going to focus on that one person, that very specific thing, great! You can get known
for that.
If you feel you can be helping all these different people, you can have a couple of different
sales pages but make it really, really specific so when they get there they go, "she's talking
to me, this product is going to help me."
So that's a question for you; Are you being specific enough? Are you clear on who the
person is that your product is for? And when they get to your sales page, through the language
that you use and the examples that you use... "this is for me."
Okay, love to hear from you. It's really going to increase the number of people who buy.
You might sell a certain amount and a more general description, but if you can get very,
very specific you're going to increase your conversion. That's we're all about, making
money from the same material that you've got.
Leave your comments down below, don't be shy! And I'd love to hear from you, so please leave
your comments. Any questions you've got, come back here and see if I can help you and you
might be able to help people who have questions as well. So please feel free to just dive
in there and contribute as much as you can and I'll see you and join the conversation
too. Bye!
