So you have many ideas as to doing your own business. You've been in a modeling exposure.
How about starting a modeling agency. Hi, I'm Hazely Lopez and today we're going to
talk about starting your own modeling agency. Alright, well the first thing you want to
do of course is get exposure. You want to make sure that you have experience in your
market and you know what you're doing so that way it's easier to know what to do and what
not to do. Also you want to make sure you choose an age group, like for example you
want to make sure if you want to do adults or if you want to do children, women, men.
What exactly do you want to do? Do you want to do it all? I recommend you first do one
part and then, you know, expand yourself to doing everything. The next thing you want
to do is of course register with your state. Get all your legal paperwork, like your fictitious
name, if you want to be a corporation-- whatever you want to do. Also, the permits and regulations
that your business development requires from you. Also choosing that perfect location.
Getting exposure, getting your name out there and marketing yourself. After that, start
getting some clients. Go to business places or department stores, things like that. Bring
them what you're doing. Show them tips and ideas of how you're making it different from
what is already out there and after that, you've got the client, you've got the space,
you've got the legal parts. Prepare that contract with your lawyer that you're going to be getting
ready for your talent and make a casting call. When you desire to hire those talents, you're
just going to make a contract with them and send them to your clients and that's it. It's
basically a circle. You just keep doing the same thing around and around, and there you
go. I'm Hazely Lopez, director of Hazely Academy of Refinement and Modeling and this is how
you start a modeling agency.
