Hey and welcome to ChicPeek Shape Up! Jade Seah here and the festive season is upon us,
and I know you want to look good; you want to fit into that dress; you want to make sure
you look great because you see some of these relatives like once a year! So to help me
with that, I have Carl, from IFC. Once again, he will be teaching me how to stay trim during
the festive season. And a big part of looking good, especially for girls in tight dresses
is to have a flat stomach, so any tips on how we can maintain that during this season,
with all the goodies around us?? You want to obviously eat in moderation, and
you don't really want to be picky with what you eat, because it's a once-a-year thing...
So just EAT! Eat whatever you want, just make sure it's
in moderation; don't go overboard with it. And I guess if you eat more you just have
to work harder! Exactly, yup.
You heard it, so let's go into the first exercise. so the first exercise is kind of like a crunch,
you said? Yup so the first exercise is just a basic
crunch. We're going to have your legs out up, and then you're going to have your hands
behind your head. Okay so you want to relax your elbows, and
every time you come up into a crunch, you want to breathe out and blow out all the air
- you want to empty your stomach of all the air.
So breathe out as you come up, and you want to go down nice and slow, and when you come
up, you want to breathe out. So you breathe in through your nose, and then you breathe
out through your mouth as you come up. You want to relax your elbows.
Why do I want to relax my elbows? You don't want to put too much stress on your
head. You don't want to rush through this - you want to take your time.
Yeah it's kind of more tiring when you go slower, huh??
Okay so what's the next move? Okay so for your next exercise, we're going
to do some shoulder taps in a push-up position. So you want to get into a push-up position,
put your hips up, and you want to keep a nice, straight position from your head all the way
down to your legs. Contract your abdominals, and then just before you touch your shoulder.
So your right arm has to touch your left shoulder. You don't want to have any swivel in your
hips - you want to keep it as straight as possible. Okay. Yup, that's good. Okay! So
how's that? So that is a lot more tiring than a normal plank - for sure!
Okay so for the third move? Okay so for the last exercise we are going to incorporate
a leg tuck into a burpee to make it a little bit more dynamic. A leg tuck into a burpee...
Yup. Come down into a burpeee into a puch-up position, you're going to bring the alternate
leg to each elbow, and then you're going to push yourself back up. Okay, so do a burpee,
and then a leg tuck, yup, and then you bring it back. Yup, that's it. And that's ONE! And
that's one - you want to do 12 of these... Come back down again. Make sure you get your
hips nice and high; you don't want to drop your hips down this way; you want to keep
it nice and high. Okay. That's good. That's...that's quite a workout!
It feels like cardio plus everything else...together! So how should we put all these exercises together?
You want to put all three exercises together and youw ant to try and finish 12 of each
exercise and then repeat that after you're had a little bit of a rest. Try and get 4
sets...4 sets?? And how often in a week should we do these? You probably want to try and
get 3 times a week if you want to have nice abs!
So if you need a little encouragement to get started, together with the good folks at Puma,
I've put together a little fitness starter kit for you. So you get a running singlet,
very airy, very nice. And oh, this is my favourite - you get a cute pair of running shorts and
you get a sports jacket - so this is great for if you go to the gym, or if you run at
night and you don't want to feel too cold; or you take a swim at night, you want to keep
warm and not catch a cold. And of course with all that gear, you need to put it in a bag,
so we have a cool gym bag for you. And of course, shoes! So you get a pair of Mobium
Elite Glow - and I was wearing this in the video - these are a very trendy shade of fluorescent
peach. AND on top of all of that, you get a complimentary fitness session with Carl.
So this is great because you get one on one time with him; he will tell where you're going
wrong, you know, help you reach your personal fitness goals. Just 3 easy steps if you want
a chance to win all of that! #1: you have to be subscribed to my YouTube

Instagram and upload a picture of yourself showing me how YOU shape up; with the hashtag
