Every type of international health insurance plan
gives you different options regarding the amount of deductible for the plan.
The deductible is the amount of money you will pay out of pocket
before the benefits of an international travel health insurance plan kick in
The amount of the deductible that you will need for your international travel health insurance plan
depends upon the country that is requiring you to obtain a short-term Visa.
Each European Union country requires different deductibles.
For example, France and Germany each have $100 deductible
whereas Spain has a $0 deductible.
The general rule of thumb is never to go over a $250.00 deductible.
If the deductible is too high,
the embassy will not accept the plan
and will require you to obtain a plan that has a lower deductible.
Next time we'll be talking about your more Embassy requirements,
