>>Erik: You moved from a corporate litigation role that has a humanless element to a criminal
defense firm where you now deal with folks going on trial, I`m sure with a lot of characters,
so it is a far cry from what you were doing before, how did that transition affect you?
>>Julia: It was shocking. There`s always that moment you get what you always wanted and
say I`m not sure really I want this. I went from humanless experiences to the most extreme
human drama I could imagine. People`s whose liberty is being taken away. Wives saying
goodbye to their husbands being detained by the US Marshals. It was shocking to see so
many grown men cry when they find out they will be going to jail for a long time. See
little kids see their father taken away to jail for many years. Wanting all that humanness,
I got it. I got it right away. It was difficult. It was very emotional at first.
