Good afternoon everyone. Let’s get right to it. Today I will introduce my workout program.
This program is called P90x. This program isn’t especially new—it came about around 2003, but for some reason it became popular about 3 years ago
and has become especially popular in California.
By the way, P90x isn’t just a workout system, it is actually a business. You can get paid for telling your friends about the program.
At any rate, we are only concerned with the workout portion.
With P90x the most important thing , if I could sum it up in one word, would be “change”. Now what do we mean by that?
Well, this might get a bit technical, but with muscles change is especially important.
Basically, if we do the same thing over and over again,
we will experience less and less growth. By “shocking” them, | we can basically trick them into maintaining stable growth.
So, each and every day, the workouts In P90x change, | as do the parts of the body we exercise.
For example, Monday is chest and back.
Tuesday, plyometrics (jump training).
Wednesday, shoulders and arms.
Thursday, Yoga.
Friday, legs and back.
Saturday, Kenpo.
And finally, Sunday is a rest.
In this fashion, we mix cardio and anaerobic exercise.
Along that vein, after three weeks the order of workouts completely change.
In my next video, my little brother will film me while I am working out, so please look forward to seeing my sweaty image! Take it easy!
