A homeopathic medicine is a gentle medicine - it's using diluted amounts of a natural
substance to help the body do what it's trying to do. And an example of a homeopathic medicine
is apis mellifica. That's made from the honey bee. If any of you have ever been stung by
a bee, you know you get a very pink, hot, itchy, burning welt that's much better if
you put ice on it. That's the type of symptom that apis homeopathically will help. And you
can also look at it as a symptom picture - what if you have a sore throat that feels much
better when you drink cold water? Or sometimes it's heat, sometimes it's cold that make it
better. If it's cold, apis would probably help your sore throat also. So remedies have
multiple uses - it's not just for a specific condition. As a parent and a pharmacist, some
of the things I love about homeopathy are they're easy to use, they're available everywhere
across the country, they don't make you drowsy, they don't speed you up, and the whole family can
use them. Infants, the parents, the grandparents, senior citizens, and you don't have to be
concerned if you are taking a prescription drug that you are gonna have an interaction.
