Our favorite guide (Interpreter), Rebeckah Penney at Devil's Den State Park, near Fayetteville, AR. Told us all about bats and sandstone crevices.

Stopped at Jacksonport State Park (Arkansas) along the White River. Tour of the historic Circa 1852 courthouse. Rained all night from hurricane Isaac's inland wrath.

Drove a long way on Saturday 9/1/12 to reach Skidaway Island State Park GA about dark. This is a view from our site.

Took a little day trip to Hilton Head. This is the only picture we got.
Next stop, Jack and Lyla's digs near Boone, NC. This is their yard on top of hill in the Blue Ridge.

Jack and Lyla took us on a day trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway. One of the stops was the Moses H. Cone Memorial Park.

Spent a large portion of the day at Mammoth Caves National Park in Kentucky. It has over 365 MILES of surveyed caves, and many more miles of undiscovered caves. We visited Frozen Niagra.
On to Tennessee. Spent a one-day whirlwind tour of Nashville. Enjoyed going through the old Ryman Auditorium.

Getting ready to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN. We also strolled down Music Row. We saw 3-4 groups playing their music that morning.
On to Tennessee distilleries the day after Nashville. This is George A Dickel Whisky (no E). A smaller (compared to Jack Daniels) near the burg of Tullahoma, TN.

Pritchards Distillery...such as it is. A Ma and Pa operation for sure...but they make a Sweet Lucy that we absolutely love.
Enjoyed seeing hummingbirds where we camped in Columbia, TN.
On to Branson, MO. It rained a lot, but we did go to the Roy Clark Show. He is 79 and going strong, but is showing his age. 56 00:06:31,992 --> 00:00:-01,000 Connie's favorite part of Branson was the huge quilt shop. We hooked up the trailer in the dark pouring rain on Saturday September 15 and drove the 800 plus miles home. Ask us about our Starbucks stop!!
