Inflate a balloon leaving a two inch flat tail.
The size of the first bubble
is the size of the hat.
So, loop the balloon around your head
to measure the size of the 1st bubble.
At this point we twist the 1st bubble.
Lock both ends of the 1st bubble
in one lock twist.
Secure the lock.
The next two bubbles we twist to make the eyes.
Twist the 2nd one inch bubble.
Twist the 3rd one inch bubble.
Lock both ends of the chain
of the last two bubbles in one lock twist.
We have made the eyes.
The next two bubbles we twist to make the ears.
And the third bubble to make the trunk.
Twist the 4th soft five inch bubble.
Twist the 5th soft five inch bubble.
Lock both ends of the chain
of the last two bubbles in one lock twist.

Lock both ends of the 4th bubble
in one lock twist.
At the same time we lock both ends of the 5th bubble

The rest of the balloon is the 6th bubble.
It is the trunk.
(birds chirping)
Shape the 6th bubble in the way you like it.
In this example I point the trunk down.

We can use a permanent marker
to draw the eyes.
