Now to some very welcome news for Korea's automakers...
New data shows Korean-made cars made up nearly nine percent of China's auto market last year...
its largest-ever market share in the world's second-largest economy.
The Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade says Korean automakers, including
Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors, sold around 1-point-6 million units in China in 2013.
Korean auto sales in China have been on the rise for three consecutive years now.
Experts say Korean automakers should re-focus their marketing from small, budget models
to larger, more expensive models as the Chinese market for sedans, SUVs and multi-purpose
vehicles is on the rise.
