Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Series Crew Cab, well be test fitting the
Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable-Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack, part number TH500.With our
ladder rack assembled according to the instructions, well begin our test fit by placing half of
our ladder rack towards the front of our bed. Well want to set the ladder rack on our side
rails, then we can loosen up the Allen bolts at the top to adjust our arms in, to fit the
width of our bedrails. Then well want to make sure that we have even bar overhang on each
side of our truck. Once thats established, we can then use an Allen key to tighten the
Allen bolts and secure this part of our ladder rack into position. Then well take our black
rubber pads and sit them on top of our bedrails, in between the bedrail and the foot of our
ladder rack. Once we have the pads in position, we can make sure that our feet are in line
with each other. You can do this by taking a measurement from the front of your bed,
back to the closet point on your foot, or you can find a fixed point on each side of
your bedrail and judge it by that.Well use our stake mount and set our foot about a fingers
width distance away from our mount. Well do this on both sides to ensure that our feet
are in line with each other.
