Now for our next seventh chord, we will look at the C seven chord. So remember, C was the
first major chord we learned. That was the very simple layout of our third finger playing
the C and the A string, second finger playing the E and the D, open G, first finger playing
the C on the D string, and high E, open, okay? What we're going to do is we want now, to
make this G a B flat. Now recall, from here this could have an A sharp or a B flat, knowing
our theory. And the B flat is what gives our C a seventh chord feel. So look, going from
a C major to the C seven is very simple, it's all about moving your fourth finger to the
third fret of the G string. Now, C seven is the five-seven chord that wants to lead the
F major.
Notice that. So move your third finger and second finger down one, and your first finger
gets barred. Practice playing C seven to F. So you can hear the progression from five,
seven, to one.
