I just broke off my jig there and this is the Terminator Pro Jig that's my favorite
flipping jig any type of stuff. Ya know grass, docks, wood, anything like that. There are
a couple things that I do to this jig whenever I go get ready to fish with it. One thing
I do if I'm not going to be threading my chunk on, ya know actually thread it up onto the
hook shank. I'm just going to be hooking it on wanting to make it a little bit bigger
profile. One thing I do on our Terminator Jig is we got a bait keeper here and it's
a great thing if you're actually threading that chunk up on it wanting to make it a little
more compact profile that little barb there holds the bait up extremely well and you'll
get a lot more life out of the bait because of it. But if you're not, if your just wanting
to hook your chunk on there or whatever your trailer is sometimes you'll go to skip it
and your chunk is going to slide up and it's going to get hooked on this thing and whenever
you get it back in your chunk is going to be up here all jacked up. So a couple things
that I do; first the way that the angle is on that I like to take it and close it down
a little bit just with a pair of pliers to where it's a lot tighter hook. And it's still
going to hold extremely well, but it's not going to rip the plastic quite as bad. Then
I'll take a worm like a Berkley Havoc Bottom Hopper and I'm not too particular on color
you know it's a black and blue jig I'll put a green pumpkin or a black emerald or about
any color of worm really I don't think the fish are really paying too much attention
to that anyways. What I'm going to do is I'm going to push that up on there and cover up
that little barb and about in the bend of the hook right here I'm going to break that
worm off. Okay? That gives me a place to where now when I put my chunk on there it can only
come down to like that and if you pop it a little in the water it's going to come right
straight back up there and be perfectly in line just like it's supposed to be in the
water. It's not going to be up here jacked up or be out of place. It's going to be in
line, swim perfectly, and you're going to catch more fish like that.
