Moment of Reflection
"The lost coin"
Maria Valtorta
(From "The Gospel as was revealed to me")
We all know how Jesus usually taught several telling parables.
It was the simple method with which Jesus was able to convey and understand His doctrine.
Recall, for example, the parable of the Prodigal Son and of the lost sheep.
Maria Valtorta, on this page, narrates the parable of the lost coin, and "sees" and how to "hear." Listen to it:
"People flock to the street.
Jesus begins to speak:
"A woman had ten silver coins (coins) in your bag.
But having made a move, the stock fell from her breast and opened, and the coins came running across the floor.
She picked them up, with the help of neighbors who were present and counted his coins.
It was nine! Could not find the tenth.
Since the afternoon was already coming, and started to get dark, she lit a lamp and put it on the floor ...
Then he took a broom and started sweeping, carefully
to see if the money had rolled away from the spot where he fell.
But there was no way to find the piece.
Then the friends went away, tired of so much searching.
Then the woman had the idea of moving from place to box seat, the cabinet and heavy safe.
He took care with the amphorae and jugs, which were placed in a pit at the foot of the wall.
But do not think the piece.
Then the woman went down on all fours and went to the mountain of garbage swept and gathered near the door of the house,
to see if the piece would have rolled out of the house, going to mix with the leaves of vegetables rejected.
And there, finally found the coin, all dirty, almost covered with trash, which then fell on it.
The woman was overjoyed and it was washed and dried.
SHE WAS MORE BEAUTIFUL NOW THAN BEFORE!
And the woman was showing it to her neighbors called again with a loud voice, which had withdrawn,
after they have helped in the first search, saying:
Here it is, here you are! You see? You advisable for me not to sweat more.
But I resisted, and found the piece which I had lost.
Rejoice, ye unto me, that I have not had the pain of losing not one of my treasures. "
Also your Master (Jesus), and with him, his apostles, as does the woman in this parable.
He knows that a move can bring down a treasure.
- Each soul is a treasure and Satan, who is jealous of God,
causes the bad moves to bring down the poor souls.
- There are some treasures that by fall, stop near the bag,
that is, deviate little from the law of God, who gathers souls in keeping the commandments.
- And there are others who will stop to far, that is even further away from God and his Law
- Finally, there are rolling it out to the trash, to the dirt, to mud.
And there would eventually perish by being burned in the fires began,
as well as the filth usually burned at appropriate places.
The Master knows this, and looking tirelessly lost coins.
He looks for them everywhere, with love. They are your treasure.
He does not get tired or feel sick at all.
But he seeks them, searching them, and move things from their seats, scans, to find.
And once found, wash your soul found forgiveness,
and calls his friends, all Paradise and all the goods of the earth, and tells them:
"Rejoice with me, because I found what was lost
and is now more beautiful than before, because my forgiveness has made new. "
Verily I say unto you, that makes a lot of joy in Heaven,
rejoice the angels of God and the good of the land over one sinner who repents.
Verily I say unto you that there is nothing more beautiful than the tears of repentance "
and a sincere confession
Dear Brothers and Sisters, I met a lady who told me:
Mr. Padre, do not understand this parable, so much concern and anxiety over losing a coin, that is, a coin!
She did not understand that we are the "currency of Jesus" - His treasure.
He did not want to lose us and seeks us always.
And when we are immersed in our sincere repentance, cleanses us and makes us brighter than before!
Brothers, sisters, let us repent of our sins, confessemo us honestly to the priest,
however great they are, and Jesus will cleanse us and make us brighter than before!
Oh! Infinite Mercy of Jesus! Thank you!
+ The blessing of God Almighty and Merciful,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit descend upon you and remain forever! Amen!
