there was a time when folks were saying who in the world would buy a sweet potato for the
ornamental
flower garden. The ornamental sweet potato has come a long way
behind me over here are some of the older varieties of ornamental sweet potato
Margarita, Ace of Spades and Blackie
are still really good sweet potatoes to put in an area where you can allow
them some room to grow
if they're in the basket they're going to get quite large and take up lot of space
but these are
excellent for fulsome locations these are basically airhead shaped leaves
this one over here's a little more cuts. up in the front here
is a newer line of sweet potatoes over here this side we have the Sweet Caroline
series.Sweet Caroline series
still has a nicely formed airhead shaped leaf. both the
dark bronze color ones and lime geen ones they stay more compact
and then on this side over here are the illusion series you can see these are
very finely cut
almost lacy like and what's neat about this whole bunch here, the Sweet Carolines and
illusions
is that they stay more compact not to worry about them taking over the bed
which
these tend to do if you want that kind of thing fine you plant these. want it to be a
little more
controlled especially the basket, consider things like the Sweet Caroline
series or the illusion series
