Hi everybody this is Monica Valentine and this is
Entertaining LA today we're going to be doing a review
of 94.7 The Wave concert
was held at LA Live on February 28
2014. The feature acts of the concert
was SWV,
Eric Benet and of course the headliner
Tony Braxton.
The concert taken place on on February 28 at 7:30 p.m.
well let us say people start rolling late
be cast it was pouring down rain
and trust me my sister and me was definitely
swervin and tried to make it to concert safely.
The concert also was better was a very good experiences
has been a while since I've been to an actual concert. The venue was very beautiful
as the seat was cushion cuz let us say
I don't like standing up too much but there was a lot of people there
SWV stands for sisters with voices.
The R&B supergroup performed "Weak"
"I'm so into you", and of course
"Rain". The next
performer on stage was Eric Benet, and trust me
he did a phenomenal job. With his sultry voice and his killer good looks and, Mmmm.
I mean his killer looks. Now I know what you men are saying out there
saying, "he ain't all that", but trust me he is one fine man.
He is, trust me. Last and certainly not the least
was Toni Braxton. One word to describe her was
phenomenal. Can you that she talked about retiring
I'm glad that her good friend Keith "Babyface" Edmonds,
talked her out of it; as he was the special guest
when he and her both sang their first
song almost 15 years out their new
album.
Hmm let' see. According to this all my cheat sheet
which is a smartphone it says that it has been Tony Braxton's first album
says 2010's "Pulse" (album), And Babyface's first studio album
nearly seven years. Wow! Seven years
Hmmm.
mmm from mmm-hmm
Here we go. Their first their new album is called "Love, marriage & divorce".
I'm so sorry. It has been a few days since
the concert.I should have wrote that stuff down. Future reference, I'm gonna write stuff down.
and I gotta I gotta write it down, but today I'm gonna use my cheat sheet.
Their song
was called "Hurt You", which came out November 25th
2013. The song did they sang
"Where did we go wrong", I believe. Came out around that time.
And guess what it was number one
on the R&B charts. All right. You two go.
But do you think they make a very cute couple? I do
What do you think? Hm hmm
hmm what else?, what else? what else? Yup Here's another one.
Toni Braxton has a book out.
Now let's see. Give me a minute. Let me see where it is.
What's the title of that book?
I here we go the book is called "Un-break my heart".
A memoir of Toni Braxton. You can check it on Amazon.com
It costs about twenty dollars and fifty-one cents, which is a pretty good price. You can also
download it.
These days people are downloading which is on their smart phones, tablets, laptop, so
definitely check it out. Imma read that book I'm gonna give a review.
on that book. I'm gonna read that book. i'm gonna put this away.
So anyway, back to the concert, because it was defintely a phenomenal event I had a
good time
seeing her come to shimming with her silver gown. It was definitely
a good treat. And the ticket prices was about mmm
Well, me and my sister was... yeah, me my sister my sister and I went to
the concert it was about seventy-five bucks a piece. We were in the mid row.
I would have gotten front row seat, but..people were standing up and
I couldn't stand up for next three hours, and plus the ticket prices was about one-hundred and twenty
dollars.
So, right now this show is a little bit, on...
a little bit on a budget, so anyway, because it was definitely a firm up
phenomenal. Her opening her opening song
which was it...it was..
It was off here 1999 album, I remember that song.
"He wasn't man enough for me". That was the song she open up
