R: Hi this is Rachel - and this is Alex, filling in for Kendra - and you're watching This Week
in TV. Today we have premieres and finales, and then we'll be talking about some new Fall
faces in which Alex and I...see a LOT of potential. First, scheduling. Alex!
A: Well Rachel, on Monday, House fans can officially celebrate as the 8th season premiere
kicks off on FOX at 9/8c. Then on Tuesday we have the very stylish series premieres
of Mad Fashion followed by Fashion Hunters on Bravo. On Wednesday, South Park returns
with the 2nd half of season 15 on Comedy Central, while on FX we have the series premiere of
American Horror Story. And speaking of FX, if you're a fan of The League, don't forget
the season premiere on Thursday at 10:30/9:30 central. What do we have for the rest of the
week, Rachel?
R: Well on Friday we have the season premiere of Sanctuary on Syfy. Saturday we have the
Rules of Engagement premiere on CBS; this was moved from a few week earlier. Finally,
I'm very excited for Sunday the 9th as it's the Breaking Bad season finale on AMC, and
I have a feeling Alex is very excited for the Real Housewives of New Jersey finale over
on Bravo.
A: Fans of This Week in TV might already know that when Kendra's away, Rachel and I like
to partake in racier TV discussions. On today's agenda: the most ***-able stars of the new
fall shows! So Rachel, now that you've sampled some of this season's new series, who's on
your 'Must ***' list?
R: Well Alex first up this necessitates my admitting of watching The Lying Game on ABC
Family. Hot ballet teacher Eduardo, played by Rick Malambri, whom all of the high school
girls have their eye on...let's just say I can see why. You might also recognize Malambri
as one of the leads from Step Up 3D, so his dancing skills are definitely legit, which
is yet another plus.
And speaking of ABC Family, I've got to single out Joshua Bowman, who is playing Daniel Grayson
on ABC's delightfully soapy new series Revenge. Kendra and I first noticed Bowman on ABC Family's
gymnastics series Make It Or Break It, and Kendra astutely commented that it turns out
Bowman was "regular TV hot". So, kudos, Joshua on making the jump to the big leagues of ABC,
and congrats as you've officially landed on our bangworthy list.
Alex, who is on your list?
A: Well, Rachel, first off, I couldn't help but be excited that the very bangable Mike
Vogel stars in ABC's Pan Am as a cocky retro pilot. You might remember him as the hot soccer
camp coach who banged Blake Lively's character in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
As for other bangable stars, fans of the late Life UneXpected are probably excited to see
Kristoffer Polaha return to The CW in Ringer with Sarah Michelle Gellar. He adds a little
eye candy to all the suspense and even though his character is apparently a cheating dirtbag,
he still seems like a better catch than Siobhan's husband. But maybe that's just me...
R: Haha, Alex, yeah I actually think the husband on Ringer - played by Ioan Gruffold - is pretty
smoking himself. But maybe that's just because I was a fan of Horatio Hornblower. So, that's
it for this episode of This Week in TV. As always, leave your thoughts on Facebook or
Twitter - we're eager to hear who appears on your bangworthy lists.
