Mike Flannery: A wonderful thing about Purdue Calumet is this natural resource that we have in Northwest Indiana.
It's not the lakeshore, it's not the steel mills. The gold of Northwest Indiana is the people.
Mike Kuzmar: I did work full time and went to school full time.
So it was a very busy work load. By being in the classroom and learning the things that
apply to the job, it does create a synergy where I was.
It made me a better student and a better worker.
It really made me enthusiastic about both.
Mike Flannery: I've had a chance to hear from a lot of employers and a lot of our Alumni
who are out in the organizations. Purdue Cal is mentioned because we seem to keep students
realistic about their expectations within the industry.
They culturate into the business world.
Mike Kuzmar: I really wanted to work while I was in school. I felt like that was important.
I didn't to be burdened with a ton college debt.
Mike Flannery: As these people that go through are programs that go out and have a
tremendous work ethic to got out and be successful in businesses.
I think that's the gold of Northwest Indiana.
