[music]I am in the art track and I chose it because my undergrad had a lot to do with
art. And Programming is pretty difficult. Producing sounds pretty cool but I prefer
to make stuff that's in the game. [music]My undergrad had alot to do with modeling and
we made a short film in undergrad. So a lot of stuff that we made up there aply to the
art track here at FIEA. Besides the fact that making video games is a lot of fun. It's something
I've wanted to do for along time. [music]Right now I'm working with a venture track group
called Hapa Games, we're working on a game called Ascendant. So I've been busy making
environment art, and diffferent enemies in the game and a whole bunch of stuff to fill
up the game. It's starting to wind down now so I've been working on my portfolio too.
[music]My favorite part about FIEA has been working on the Capstone game. It was a lot
of fun to get on a group with a whole bunch of programmers, artsts and producers and get
knee deep and make a really awesome game. For me it was a game back here, Warp Derby,
you should really check it out. [music]The most beneficial thing about FIEA I think was
the staff. There are a lot of really good, experienced professors here who will help
you out with anything you have questions on. The art staff is very helpful with critique,
very talented, always have suggestions and help me push art in a new direction which
is always a plus. [music]I definitely pulled my first all niter in the first semester. I think it
probably managed to hold that off until the final assignment of hte first semester. But
that was a rough night. [music]I think in general before comign to FIEA you want to
get as much sleep as possible, play as many of the new video games as possible because
you want have a whole lot of time to do that while you're here. Hang out wiht all your
friends, see your family and while you are here work hard because it's over
in 16 months.
