Hello, I am Suseela. Welcome to Suseela's Kitchen.
Today I will show you how to make Ghee.
It will take approximately
10 minutes. Ghee is clarified butter.
It can be used in making chapaties,
sweets and desserts, also to enhance the flavour of
daal and curries.
To make Ghee you will need: a heavy based
medium-sized pot, 250 grams unsalted butter
a few curry leaves. Cooking method:
Cut butter into small pieces, put them in a pot
Place the pot on a
medium heat, stir occasionally
to make butter melt evenly. After melting butter
foamy bubbles form with sizzling noise.

until sizzling sound stops. Butter particles start to sink
and they start to change to brown colour.
At this point, add curry leaves
Ghee is ready, turn off the stove
Wait until it is completely cooled down
Then, transfer into a small container. You can serve as it is
or wait until it solidifies.
Ready to serve!
