Hi, I'm Derek, your student association campus student life coordinator.
My name is Amy and I'm your student association president.
Student association has lots of benefits for you guys during the first couple of weeks of school to
complement the events organized by the student experience centre.
Though we have an event every night, here are some of the highlights to look out for.
Monday September 5th is an all ages is a grafitti night pub at E.P. Taylors pub.
We provide the white t-shirts with the markers, the entertainment and the prizes. All you need to do is show up,
meet some new friends and whole lot of fun.
Thursday September 8th is our first 19+ event and this will be a theme party
so make you check out our website for more information.
For those looking for some variety, Friday September 9th is a comedy night at E.P Taylors.
Love to laugh? Better, because we're going to have some that will make you.
Follow this up on Tuesday September 12 with extreme hypnotist Tony Lee.
This is a 19+ event but make sure you get your tickets early because Tony Lee is sold out more
is sold out more in university and college shows than any Canadian performer
in Canadian history.
Lastyly, our final event is simply a must.
Our campus best concert is Saturday September 17th from 2 - 10pm,
its really a you can't miss.
Over the past years we have had performances by Hedley,
Alexis on Fire, Metric, Lights, and Down With Webster.
We're currently lining up some great new bands to continue to pride you with an
unforgettable opening concert.
At orientation week, there are many opportunities to join new clubs,
start a new one,
and talk to upper year students about school or student life at UOIT.
At my orientation week, I had the opportunity to meet
my classmates and gain a sense of pride in a school that I had chosen,
UOIT.
We'll be out at orientation week events and we hope that you will be too. Looking forward to seeing you there.
