This week's releases started off with an arcade spin. From the team that brought you PixelJunk Monsters HD comes PixelJunk Shooter,
a game with a completely different set of gameplay rules, but sharing the previous title's high level of polish, and light-hearted aesthetics.
With many a dangerous caverns to explore, figure out, and shoot your way through, a distinct retro-feeling combined with very modern gameplay pacing,
and many clever ideas to discover across the otherworldly landscape, this fun title guarantees to bring a smile on your face.
Long before Mr. Ron Perlman announced to the world that "war. war never changes"
in the iconic opening sequence to Fallout, the post-apocalyptic grim future was a vision already present and persistent in the minds of gamers.
That was mostly because of Wasteland. The open-ended free-roam gameplay,
paired with incredibly rich and suggestive setting made a lasting impression on everyone who dared to visit the nuclear desert.
With challenging difficulty level and great variety of NPCs, quests, and locations, this fantastic title is still a blast to play! Get it? Blast? I'll show myself out.
Sang-Froid - Tales of Werewolves, is a thrilling blend of strategy, horror, and survival set in the 19th century American North. Yes, I do mean Canada,
but it was way before they entered their ever-apologetic state. (sorry!) In this title, legends meet History in a world filled with lore and wonders. Buy historical weapons and items,
fight mythical beasts and uncover the truth about werewolves. Choose one of the two O'Carroll brothers and use all your wits and the ability to combine ingenious traps
to fight off unapologetic canadian hairy beasts, werewolves, and the Devil himself.
Social Networks: The Final Frontier of human privacy and dignity. This is Redshirt, a comedic deep space life sim focusing on online social life of the crew of a space station.
Their mission in life: to post the pictures of their odd looking, tentacle waving lunch on their Spacebook profiles, to stalk their crewmates private holograms, to boldly collect more "friends"
than anyone collected before. Fair warning: in this game, your character is low-ranked deck hand wearing a red uniform,
On a deep space mission. In space. I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this, avoid being put on away teams at all cost!
A story becomes a tale, a tale becomes a legend, legend becomes lore, and before a couple of centuries pass, it's common knowledge. One may say that lore is not unlike gossip.
But this is Dragon Lore, and as usual--it's a little bit different with dragons. They don't care much for stories, so many things become forgotten.
Like the heritage of a young adventurer by the name of Werner Von Wallenrod. Now, it's up to you to uncover the mysteries of his ancestry in this classic point-and-click fantasy adventure game,
full of dangers, puzzles, and original characters.
Do you like challenging games? Titles that seem simple in concept, but wipe the floor with you time after time? Do you like minimalistic design?
Do you long for the rush of adrenaline that comes only from playing incredibly fast-paced titles? Well, you will love Terry Cavanagh's extreme arcade title: Super Hexagon.
With simplistic gameplay paired with insane speed, and absurd replayablity, this little gem will keep you coming back for more punishment. You'll love it!
