This is the Claber Video 2 Water Timer.
Over the next few minutes I am going to show you how to programme and re-set this timer.
As you will see, we have actually got a battery in this timer at the moment and it is showing
the clock page. The first thing we need to do is actually re-set this back to its factory
settings.
Removing the battery Okay the first thing we need to do is to take
the battery out of the timer. The way to do this is to press the two black buttons on
the side and pull off the front case. It now separates into two parts. Very carefully pull
that cable off. That allows the programme unit to be separated leaving you with the
programme unit on its own. Turn over the timer and you will see you have the battery, and
the connector. Take out the battery and pop off the cap. You will now see that although
there is no battery in the timer, the time is still showing. This is because this timer
has a back up battery inside. It will run for about 20 mins. What I suggest is that
you put this to one side, go have a cup of tea, and come back when the screen has gone
blank and all of the settings have cleared.
Replacing the battery I have left the timer for about 20 minutes
and you will see that the screen has now gone completely blank and there is no time clock
or anything showing on that screen. The next thing we do is put the battery back into the
timer. Again, turn the timer over clip in the battery making sure it is connected properly.
You will see that the timer is now going through a check process. Once that screen has cleared
and you have gone back to zero: zero that is the time page. That's what you want to
see.
Replacing the back unit The next thing we have to do is put the timer
back together again. I'm assuming that the section on the left is already attached to
a tap. Take the control section which we programmed earlier, take the wire from the back of the
black unit and clip the two together. The next thing you do is to push the front onto
the back with a click.
We are now done.
