Hello and welcome to the video instructions for adding an infographic to your report using
the web tool Easel.ly.
This video will show you how easy it is to add informational graphics to your nuclear
energy report. How hard can it be?
I am going to show you using the sample that I made.
First you will want to log into the Easel.ly website.
Select the "Start Fresh" canvas to begin.
Click on the "Clear" link and clear your canvas.
Click on the "Backgrounds" link, find the background you want, click and drag it to
your canvas.
Now click on the "Shapes" link. Select the shape you want and drag it to your canvas.
Change the color of your shape by clicking on the shape and then selecting the color
from the palette.
Resize your shape by clicking on and dragging a selection box.
Clone your shape by clicking on the cloning tool.
Color your other shapes and move them anywhere you like on your canvas.
Select and drag objects that help you tell your story. Reshape and resize as needed.
Add text by clicking on the text link, choose which type of text and drag it to your canvas.
You can change the color of your font and resize the text box as appropriate.
The pie graph is created using the "Shapes" link. Select a circle, color it, add lines
and then you can add your triangles.
You can turn the triangles by grabbing the correct selection box and simply turning it!
Change the opacity of your objects by clicking on the opacity slide (this makes them more
or less see-through).
Now is the time to add the title to your project. You can change the style of your font if you
like.
This concludes the video for creating your own infographic.
