Hi, I'm Melissa, I'm On The Beat for you,
in front of Platoon Art Hall
for a pretty cool event
called Wardrobe Night Clothing Flea Market.
Let me show you what's going on.
I'm with the event organisers.
I saw that they're selling stuff downstairs,
you can get a hair cut, and there's drinks.
It's like a clothes party.
A clothes disco, so to speak.
It's a vintage market, but we also want it
to be fun and entertaining for the boyfriends
of girls who want to shop here.
It's all curated
We have a system for choosing people.
It's nice for us to know
what kind of people they are.
In the end we have a cool mix of people
who sell their favourite and best pieces here.
I have to say that we sell
the wardrobe of simply stylish people.
You walk along the street,
see someone and think, wow.
So it's private people and small shops, too?
We mix it but we tell the shops
to make their wardrobe available also.
You have a very special target group.
If I was mean I'd say it's a hipster market.
Well, how do you define hipster?
The two of us are true Berliners,
we grew up here.
Leila is from Neukölln, I'm from Kreuzberg.
So it's important to us to have
a few original Berliners to keep it real.
It's for everyone. Earlier,
there were some old folks but also small kids.
We want it to be a mix of everything.
So, if you feel like a cool party with shopping,
hair dressing, photographs and drinks,
this is the place for you,
every first Saturday at Platoon.
You'll look good.
