My character has taken care of Tien since he was 12 years old.
When Tien grew up, he got into trouble and was arrested.
Tien was looking for revenge
after his parents were murdered and his town was burnt down.
When he went for revenge, he was arrested, then tortured to death.
Master Bua digs his body up and cleanses him with herbs.
He and the villagers recite incantations to wake up Tien's body
and do a meditation to clean his soul and bring it back to the body.
Bua teaches Tien about Buddhism by comparing Tien's life with Men's.
Men is a madman. He has messy hair and dirty cloths,
but he lives a happy life
and does not worry about anything.
Bua applies natural way to cure Tien until he recovers.
He uses dharma to cure Tien's soul and physical therapy to cure Tien's body.
Until he becomes the same man he used to be.
Khon is a form of exercises or gymnastics.
It helps to practise martial arts
without using any weapons.
The story of the first Ong Bak took place in the present time,
but Ong Bak 2 and 3 are completely different.
They are not the same story.
The story takes place in times gone by
in a fictional town
where things happen.
The movie implies that the world is changing.
Thai film industry is also changing.
But the faith in Buddhism and the King remain the same.
Ong Bak 2 focused on the thrilling action scenes,
but Ong Bak 3 is more about living with nature,
how to use herbs to cure diseases.
We added this point into the movie.
Tien is also in love as the girl has grown up.
She helps Tien go back and save his country.
So, Khon is adapted to be a new style of martial art
and herbs are applied to cure the pain.
Bua tries to end Tien's rage and doesn't want him to touch any weapons,
but after practising Thai Deawcing art for a while,
Tien adapts those gentle moves
and creates a deadly fighting style
that can kill
without using any weapons.
